Google will release Android Wear 2.0 in February, though no exact timeline so far is known.

The search engine has alerted Google Play developers about the upcoming release of the Wear so that they can update their applications to suit it.

The email also asks them to include the new on-watch Play Store.

It shows that Google plans to ensure that developers have included necessary updates in the apps for the independent and smooth run of the device.

This feature has made Android 2.0 Wear an outstanding gadget among others that will have no dependency on a smartphone’s essential connection with Wi-Fi and apps.

Although, the device was scheduled for early release but some issues prevented it to happen during testing by developer preview builds. In addition to this, the search engine has also planned to launch two new smartwatches in the start of this year.
