CES 2018 ended up with some prior views of the AMD CPUs’ future roadmap for the year which included the first Ryzen ‘Raven Ridge’ APUs in the list of ‘coming soon’. Raven Ridge(that’s what the APUs were named) is said to be powered by Ryzen desktop processors with Radeon Vega graphics built in.

AMD Ryzen APU G Series 2400G 2200G AMDs Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G bundeled up as Raven Ridge APUs to roll out in Q1, this year

Ryzen 5 2400G Specifications

Speaking of their technical specs, the Ryzen 5 variant is said to have:

  • Four cores and eight threads
  • Maximum CPU boost speed of 3.9GHz
  • Maximum GPU clock speed of 1250MHz
  • 11 graphics compute units
  • 6MB of L3/L2 cache
  • TDP rating of 45W to 65W

Ryzen 3 2200G Specifications

The slightly lower-end variant, Ryzen 3 2200G is said to have:

  • Four cores and four threads
  • Maximum CPU boost speed of 3.7GHz
  • Maximum GPU clock speed of 1100MHz
  • Eight compute units
  • 6MB of L3/L2 cache
  • TDP rating of 45W to 65W

Availability and Pricing

Raven Ridge APUs will be released in a matter of weeks and the Ryzen 5 2400G will have an MSRP of $169 while Ryzen 3 2200G having a suggested price of $99.
