So the Ryzen Threadripper has once again made it clear that it is here to stay! The Zen architecture based monster processor by AMD has managed to place its name in the 3DMark’s Hall of Fame.
The award of being in the HOF goes to none other than the flagship microprocessor, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. Well, what else would you expect from a 16 core/ 32 thread desktop processor? This one of a kind processor by AMD makes it the world’s most powerful commercial CPU ever released to date.
The system which made its way to the 3D Mark’s Hall of Fame was equipped with the following hardware specs in addition to the star Ryzen 1950X:
- Four Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards
- 32GB of G.SKill memory running at 3600MHz
- Asus X399 Zenith Extreme motherboard
The result was a whopping overclocked figure of 4.17GHz! And guess what? The system didn’t use any water block or LN2 for cooling.
