AMD has showed us a block diagram a rendering, it was actually confirmed to be rendering not an actual image of the Vega Die which looks absolutely humongous. It’s not only the GPU itself but you can see the two blocks underneath and those of course represents the HBM2 and yes that is 8 GB in total. See the picture for yourself below.

So, this card is going to be absolutely a beast in terms of size and of course that’s because you don’t need to worry about GDDR5 or whatever else on PCB. It’s rumored to be 500 mm2. This absolutely stomps on the current Polaris series of cards for example the RX 480 or RX 580 in terms of raw performance and this card in theory at least should be aimed upon running games at the highest resolution.
The shot is real and it’s not fake because we have checked with AMD. This shot tells us that there will be 64 GCN units x 8 NCU units = 512 times eight blocks is 4096 shader processors.
