Amazon after having some ups and downs with Google for the past half a year has now reached to a point of mutual understanding where they have agreed to sell Google’s Chromecast again as well as Apple TV. The news was confirmed by CNET, as an Amazon spokeswoman said that she “can confirm that we are assorting Apple TV and Chromecast.”
Got Any Surprises?
It is surely a matter to be surprised as selling the Google Chromecast and Apple TV is in no way, good for Amazon as it has its own product of the same category, known as ‘Fire TV brand’. If you go into the history of what has been happening previously, you’ll notice that these two products were pulled off from the website’s listing since late 2015. Since then, the products are now back on the site.
The Current Status
Although all the variants of devices haven’t gone live on the website, they have created listings for them, which shows that the products will shortly be available. Speaking of the Apple TV, the listings say that Amazon will have a 32GB version and the 64GB version along with a standard 4th-gen Apple TV. For Google’s products, the site will be selling Google Chromecast and premium Chromecast Ultra.
The company is in productive discussions with Amazon to reach an agreement for the benefit of our mutual customers. Hope[s] it can reach an agreement to resolve these issues soon.
