About

We Break Things So You Don’t Have To

TechStunt is where engineering teams share the experiments, failures, and hard-won lessons that don’t make it into the docs.

🎯

The Mission

Running a tech business is a stunt—calculated risk, precise coordination, and the occasional spectacular failure. We document all of it: the experiments that worked, the ones that didn’t, and the operational wisdom that only comes from doing things the hard way.

What We Cover

🧪

Experiments

Real tests with real data. We try things so you can learn from our results before committing.

💀

Failures

Honest post-mortems. No spin, no blame—just what went wrong and how we fixed it.

⚙️

Operations

The playbooks, processes, and practices that keep systems running and teams sane.

Why We Exist

The best engineering knowledge lives in Slack threads, internal wikis, and the heads of people who’ve been burned before. Conference talks are polished. Blog posts are promotional. We wanted something different.

TechStunt publishes the stuff that’s too messy for marketing but too valuable to keep private. The $84K outage caused by a typo. The 30-day experiment that saved $50K/month. The on-call handbook we wish someone had given us three years ago.

Our Principles

01
Show the numbers. Claims without data are opinions. We publish the metrics.
02
Admit what failed. Survivorship bias helps no one. We share the failures too.
03
Skip the fluff. No SEO padding, no filler paragraphs. Just the useful stuff.
04
Make it actionable. Every post should leave you with something you can actually use.

Got a war story worth sharing?

We’re always looking for engineering teams willing to share their experiments, failures, and lessons. Full credit, full editorial control.
