We recently saw two companies that brought a new design to their smartphone. Which includes a display with a new aspect ratio, making it easier to equip a smartphone with a large display that is easy to use. This includes the recently launched G6 from LG and the Galaxy S8 from Samsung. If you don’t know both of them come with a 5.7 inch display that supports an 18:9 aspect ratio. Well to be exact the Galaxy S8 comes with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
This does seems like the right way to move forward. As a lot of videos are being filmed at the 2:1 ratio and it certainly is the way of experiencing videos in the future. Though for now there are barely any supported videos for it. A lot of other smartphone manufacturers might also adopt this new aspect ratio. Where a new picture of a smartphone from Sony was leaked on the internet. Which is said to be the upcoming Sony Xperia X Ultra smartphone.
What’s interesting about this new smartphone is its aspect ratio. Which is said to be at 21:9, with a screen size of 6.4 inches. Now this is even bigger than what LG and Samsung has to offer. Which should make the upcoming Sony Xperia X Ultra, a longer smartphone compared to the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
Aside from that in terms of specs the upcoming Sony Xperia X Ultra. Is said to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SOC. Which will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. While all of this will be powered by a 3050mAh battery that will also have support for Quick Charge 3.0. Other features include a 19MP rear camera with a 13MP camera at the front of the device.
Would you like to see a smartphone that is even longer than the current LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8? Let us known in the comments.
