The period of so-called atrocities between AMD and its partners seems to be getting over and Gigabyte is the first one to break the silence. Despite the fact that Gigabyte was the first one to say that it won’t participate in making the re-engineered samples for Vega 64, the same company seems the first to reverse the decision. Some images for the Gigabyte’s first custom cooled RX Vega are already rumoring online.
Gigabyte’s Sudden Change of Mind
The announcement of not producing the cards by Gigabyte was the first phase of astonishment for us and now reversing the decision is second. The problem behind all this fiasco was the shortage of Vega chips due to which all partner companies had to suffer waiting and they turned towards the GTX 1070 Ti production. Now that a fresh batch of Vega chips has been made available by AMD, Gigabyte has turned towards them again. This has opened the way for other companies too and we might see other custom RX Vegas launching soon.
Gigabyte RX Vega
According to the images that we have, it is a dual fan design card and the PCB is a bit shorter than the actual cooler. Two of the port types are reported to be the part of this card including:
- Three HDMI ports
- Three DisplayPorts
One thing is for sure that these clashes between companies are temporary and it doesn’t take much of a time for companies to think about their decisions and change them.
