True that everyone has a chance to avail the Bethesda’s Free Fallout 4 high-res texture pack offer; but that’s also true that at least 58GB of spare space is required; to install the Fallout 4 Texture Pack that too absolutely for free.
Globally renowned game publisher Bethesda Softworks LLC ensured this Monday about the release of their official ‘high-res’ Fallout 4 Texture Pack in the upcoming week. For the ‘post-apocalyptic’ RPG, the subject texture pack is a gift since the same will be a ‘free download.’
However, Bethesda made it clear that those interested in installing this texture pack would definitely need both; a powerful, brawny kind of PC and plenty of free (at least 58GB) of HDD space that’s required to run it.
An update by Bethesda said “Our amazing and loyal fans, this free download you should consider a love letter from us since you all have supported us – whether its with Fallout 4 or other games and across multiple decades.”
As mentioned above, the update further emphasized on telling the consumers that in order to download the pack, a massive 58GB of extra, free space is a must, alongside the following PC specs (recommended)
- Windows 7/8/10 (Requirement is at least 64-bit OS)
- 8GB Ram
- Intel Core i7-5820K
- GTX 1080 8GB
Bethesda’s set of recommendations pertaining to Fallout 4 Texture Pack requirements further includes quality graphic card and VRAM exclusively dedicated for the complete set of hot textures offered. One more thing needs be clarified here that the whopping storage of at least 58 GB is not the only requirement; the same is in addition to the storage the game itself requires i.e. 30 GB Plus!
Hopefully, Bethesda has made the picture very clear for all of us and all we need to do now is to see if our respective PCs are able to run it with the free download of the texture!
